We present the selected boys and girls who have recently arrived in Pylos:
Meisa Dervishi, 23, graduating in International Relations at the “Cesare Alfieri” School of Political Sciences, Florence. She works at immigration counters in various municipalities in the Empoli area and is a cultural mediator at schools, social services and hospitals in the province of Pisa and Florence. She is a volunteer of the IParticipate youth association, and of the Sustainable Tuscany Foundation and human rights activist, with a particular focus on migrants and women. She has an interest in art in various facets, especially in dance and acting, areas that she cultivated in her spare time, especially during her high school years.
“I participate in the” Cultural Heritage for Youth “project because I want to bring my interests and my knowledge to the Sustainable Tuscany Foundation; at the same time through the project I want to expand my knowledge of the English language, my cultural background, and soft skills such as teamwork and public speaking. “
Diletta Dini, studied Political Science, specializing in International Studies, at the Cesare Alfieri, School of Political Science in Florence. he is an active member of a non-partisan association called Yezers and within this he is a member of a research team on Circular Economy (specialized in food waste with researcher activities on research projects of economic-social sustainability and responsibility of the issues relating to SDGs 2, 11 and 12); she is also a member of the editorial team and publishes articles in both the Sole 24 ore and the Huffington Post. In September she will leave for Paris, to study at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and the idea of getting involved and meeting boys and girls from different cultures and countries is something that fascinates her and that pushed me to participate in the Project Erasmus + Youth Exchange.
“The possibility of meeting different cultures allows you to enrich yourself and open your mind, it allows you to always look beyond your limits and this is the reason why I participated in a project that has as its cornerstone the sharing of the cultural heritage of all countries participants. “
Leonardo Alderotti is a student. He has just finished the scientific high school with a sports focus and thanks to his commitment and perseverance he managed to reach 100, his final goal. He intends to enroll at the University of Pisa for management engineering. He is a very sporty guy, he plays football and works out in the gym. At the same time he is very interested in various cultural and musical themes and for this reason he decided to take part in the youth exchange in Pylos thanks to the Sustainable Tuscany Foundation.
“The environmental and cultural mission in which the foundation believes is very important and for this reason it is the second time that I participate in an event of this type. About 2 years ago I took part in an Erasmus project in Patras whose central theme was solidarity. I strongly believe in issues like this and I always try to raise awareness among the people around me, for example starting from my family. I will try to give my best during this project and improve more and more. “
Dario Sbrana is a student. He has recently graduated from traditional scientific high school and his intention would be to continue with the university. he is a sporty person, who likes to train and keep fit. He is interested in music, in sport for the world of entertainment, theater and cinema.
“I decided to join this Youth exchange in Pylos thanks to the Sustainable Tuscany Foundation to meet new people from different countries and cultures and to increasingly improve the level of knowledge and command of the English language; in fact in the past I have already participated in 2 similar Erasmus trips (in 2018 in Estonia to Tallin and in 2019 in Greece in Patras) and this would be the third trip of this type that I undertake. Meeting new people means being more and more open mentally and being so means being less ignorant and being able to look beyond, often beyond those prejudices that sometimes stop us and only hinder us. “
